With the Dutton Lainson Brake Winch, you can get safe and rugged construction at a more economical price. Raise and lower loads with minimal effort, with load locked in place, even when the handle is released. Load capacity is based on the direct line pull on the third layer of line on the drum. The drum capacity shown is based on the cable size listed; however, the cable is not included. Dutton Lainson brake winches have a friction brake that automatically applies a constant, positive holding action and the load remains exactly in position when the handle is released. It requires a 50-pound minimum load to work properly and these winches are not to be used for lifting, supporting, or transporting people.
