Fasclamp is a fiber optic cable clamp that is used to secure the fiber cables and prevent movement while prepping and splicing fiber cables. Designed by a by a fiber splicer with 25 years experience in the field, FasClamp and FasclampXL can be used in any splicing vehicle, trailer, or table mounted for indoor use. It is the most fail proof way to secure the cables while prepping them and provides a secure grip while splicing the fiber. Allows bundles of cables or single flat drop cables. Hinge side is wider for larger bundles or diameter cables while the machine nut side can be tightened down and cinch onto the smaller diameter cables.
This is a much-improved method to using zip ties or other ways currently used to perform this task. Cables will not slip under tension and provide safety and stability while attempting mid span entry of live cables, as well as old plant cables and enclosures while attempting to add new lateral drops. Fasclamp design allows various diameters of cable to be held in place simultaneously, including but not limited to small diameter, flat drop, ribbon cable and large loose tube cables. All fit and are held secure by the non-slip rubber gasket on the top and bottom plate of the clamp. Designed to hold the cables and NOT the enclosure. Other clamps grip the enclosure itself but are enclosure specific. By gripping the cables, this clamp can be used in any prepping or splicing scenario without being limited to enclosure style.
Fasclamp and FasclampXL allow splicers to work safely, proficiently and professionally. Securing cables allows for safely prepping cable, especially during mid span entry and buffer tube shaving. Customers cannot have outages on live cuts due to cable slippage. Fasclamp helps to eliminate this issue. Look professional with cables in fasclamp as opposed to zip tying or nothing at all.
